Types of animation

Animation means to bring something to life. The idea of animation has been around since cave paintings, but animation as we know it started around the same time as the movie camera.

The basic types of animation are:

• Stop motion animation

• 2D cel animation

• Pixilation (NOT to be confused with pixelation - squares on computer screen)

• Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) and Animation
